"We conjure thee O Circle of power that
thou be a boundery between the world of man and the realms of the
Mighty Ones. A guardian and protection that shall preserve and
contain the power that we shall raise within thee. Wherefore do we
Bless and Consecrate thee in the most sacred names of Hecate and
Herne."
Cast Circle with Incense.

Call Quarters:
East, "Through the Athame and the Topaz
we call up the Ancient Ones. King Paralda with thy Zephyrs and
Eurius the East wind. We do summon, stir and call ye up to guard
this circle and join us in these rites, We bid you welcome."
South, "Through the Wand and the Fire
opal we call up the Ancient Ones. King Djinn with thy Salamanders
and Notus the South wind. We do summon, stir and call ye up to
guard this circle and join us in these rites, We bid you welcome."
West, "Through the Water Crystal and
the Cup we call up the Ancient Ones. King Niksa with thy Undines
and Zephyrus the West wind. We do summon, stir and call ye up to
guard this circle and join us in these rites, We bid you welcome."
North, "Through the Earth Crystal and
the Pentacle we call up the Ancient Ones. King Ghob with thy
Gnomes and Borius the North wind. We do summon, stir and call ye
up to guard this circle and join us in these rites. We bid you
welcome."
Elements are shared with everyone in
the circle.
Parents and Child(ren) are called
forward.
"Who is the Mother of this child?"
Mother:

guardians, we come here to welcome your young charge into the
world of the Goddess and her Horned Consort."
Priest and Priestess take the child to
be presented to the Elements and to the Gods.

the east wind. Behold, this is one who is new to this life. We ask
that you bestow your intellect and knowledge upon this child, to
be known in this life as___________."
South; "Mighty King Djinn and Notus the
south wind. Behold, this is one who is new to this life. We ask
that you bestow your fiery passion and creativity upon this child,
to be known in this life as_________."
West; "Mighty King Niksa and Zephyrus
the west wind. Behold, this is one who is new to this life. We ask
that you bestow your wisdom and inspiration upon this child, to be
known in this life as_________."
North; "Mighty King Ghob and Borius the
north wind. Behold, this is one who is new to this life. We ask
that you bestow your strength and steadfastness upon this child,
to be known in this life as_________."
Priest and Priestess return to the
altar and present child to the Gods.
"Great Hecate, Mighty Herne.
Behold,this is one who is new to this life. We ask that you guide
and protect this child so that he/she may grow in the ways of the
old religion, to love and respect all life. This child shall be
known in this life as________."
Priest and Priestess anoint the child
and return him/her to the parents.
"______and _________ are you ready to
assume the responsibilities of spiritual, mental and physical
growth of this child as parents and guardians?"
Parents:
"We are."
"Then are you ready swear an oath by
sword before the Gods?"
Parents
"We are."
"Then repeat after me."
"We the parents of __________ do swear
before the Gods and the Old Ones, that we shall bring this child
up in the love of the Gods and life, with an open mind, tolerant
of the beliefs of others, with an awareness of how sacred all life
is. We swear to be patient and understanding as this child grows.
Should we ever fail at our responsibilities of this oath, shall we
parrish by this blade that we hold. So Mote It Be! "
"Have you chosen Godparents and found
them worthy of this responsibility?"
Parents:
"We have. _______ and __________ are
the Godparents."
Godparents step forward.
"_________ and __________ you have been
chosen and found to be worthy to be Godparents. Are you then ready
to assume this responsibility?"
Godparents
"We are."
"Then are you ready to swear an oath by
sword before the Gods?"
Godparents:
"We are."
"Then repeat after me."
"We, the Godparents of ___________, do
hereby swear an oath before the Gods and the Old Ones that if the
need should ever arise, we would continue to raise this child in
the ways of the Old Religion that the parents have chosen, to
nurture and teach to the best of our ability. Should we ever fail
at our responsibilities of this oath, shall we parrish by this
blade we hold. So Mote It Be!"
"You have all sworn an oath by sword of
great responsibility. May the growth of this child bring you all
great joy, and may ___________ grow up to find his/her path
through freedom of choice and free will."
"Let it be known to all that
___________ is now and always a child of the Gods. So Mote It Be!"
