Troubles Ceremony

 

The cememony requires a single tissue that was used by the person who was crying. It will be required during the ceremony, as well a altar plate in which to burn it. A small amount of mother earth (sand is good, Sands of Time best).

 

 

Demeter mother of us all

A tender child is troubled.

Tears of salt do fall.

 

(Take the tissue and place it on altar plate. With altar candle light tissue.)

 

To the winds we cast by fire

The tissue of tears to send away.

Send forth the woes ever higher.

 

(Think of future happiness for the person while tissue burns. When almost out take the sand and pour it on the last remaining flame.)

 

Goddess fare and gentle of hand

Cast tears and fears away.

Bury woe beneth your restful sand.

 

Let your child be clear of eye

To see the light of happiness high.

Fortify us with inner light.

 

(Bow to the altar and continue.)
